JUNE MEETING:

Mike Schlosser once again made us think about the wines that he presented. After starting off with a couple of social Chardonnays, we got into ‘Wine 102’. All the wines were poured in pairs so it would be easy to compare and contrast the same varietals from different locations. Generally, the pairs were a contrast of the ‘old’ world with the ‘new’ world, but that theme varied a bit with the Chiantis and Cabernet Sauvignons. The wines tasted (including the two social wines) were as follows:

JULY MEETING:

Our next meeting will be presented by Dick Bulova. He just made a sojourn up north to the Finger Lakes of New York and visited quite a few of the wineries there. He has selected some of the better examples that he found and brought them down for us to enjoy. So, along with the details of his visit, come on out and taste some of the current offerings being made in New York. The meeting is scheduled for Friday, July 15th, 2005, at St. Mary’s Church. The gathering will begin at 7:30 p.m. while the formal meeting should get underway at 8:00 p.m. Please RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you are planning to attend so we will have enough of everything.
